I was looking at the list of richest people in India when I found the name of Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of infosys in it. At that very moment I decided to look at the horoscope of this man. Horoscope of Narayana Murthy (if correct) would reveal more than what the books did. The books would only confirm the findings then.

Narayana Murthy, the ex-CEO of Infosys was named the 37th richest man in India* in 2013. Important events in Narayana Murthy’s life are as follows: -

• Started Infosys in 1981 in partnership by taking loan from his wife **
• In 1969 completed his M Tech from IIT Kanpur***
• 1981 – 2002 CEO of Infosys ***
• Received awards every year from 2007 to 2013 ***

There are reasons why I chose to discuss the horoscope of NR Narayana Murthy. Some of them are as follows: -

• Business Partnership

While considering partnerships, seventh house plays an important role. There were seven partners in the venture called Infosys. I did not go through the horoscopes of the others but in the horoscope of Narayana Murthy, there is a clear indication that this partnership was not smooth. I do not have much information on this but there should have been some issues in this partnership.

Ultimately the team would get smaller as some partners discontinued.

Astrologically the partnership would do well because of the seventh house lord aspect on the seventh house, Jupiter aspect on the seventh house and for some reason I believe a strong Sun in the eleventh house had something to do with it. Now the Saturn aspect on the seventh house in the horoscope of Narayana Murthy could have yielded some good results but when it comes to combined aspect of Saturn and Mars at any place I check twice before saying anything.

 

• Started business by taking loan but ended up becoming one of the richest people in India.

Saturn has a key role to play in the birth chart of Narayana Murthy. The quality of Saturn is that it takes time to react but whatever it gives is steady and stays for long. It is a slow moving planet. It is the fourth house and fifth house lord in the horoscope of Narayana Murthy which makes it a yogkaraka planet. Sun in its own sign Leo in eleventh house i.e. Labh sthana is another beneficial yoga.

Second house lord in the twelfth house with Venus indicates income through foreign lands. Twelfth house lord in the tenth also indicates a similar feature. Ascendant lord in the twelfth house should also not be forgotten. Twelfth house is suddenly becoming a point of research for the sources of income in the modern world.

 

• His company Softronics failed as a business (1976**** to a year and a half). It is not clear whether it was a joint venture or entirely his creation. I believe it was not partnered.

In 1976 Narayana Murthy as per his horoscope was running Ra-Ke period. Generally such periods are not the best periods for success in materialistic affairs. This continued for a year and a half which was mostly if not entirely this period.

 

• From 1969 to 1981 he served other companies but exact periods not mentioned on the websites I searched

In 1981, Narayana Murthy would start Infosys and as per his horoscope it was Ra-Mo period. Rahu is in the eighth house with Moon in Taurus in the horoscope of Narayana Murthy. Moon, the tenth house lord is exalted in the eighth house with Rahu. Note that Moon is in the eleventh house from the tenth house. Despite all that I doubt if this Moon had done all good for Narayana Murthy. The way to success should have been full of challenges. He tried to set his business in Rahu dasha which is quite evident and Rahu being a strong planet here gifted him the success.

I am not sure whether this date, time or place of birth of Mr. Narayana Murthy is correct. My source of information is an astrology website and I haven’t put any efforts in the correction of birth particulars.  

Unfortunately I didn’t have much information available on Narayana Murthy. I had no option but to base my article on the information available on some websites which was not sufficient.
