Ascendant is the most important house in any horoscope as it signifies the general character, health, behavior and almost every factor that needs to be considered has to be matched with horoscope before confirming any yoga. For example if sun is placed in the horoscope, a person would display ideal behavior; he/she would love high class, such a person would have high inner strength. Further it would depend on what sign sun is placed in. For example, if sun is placed in Aries in the ascendant, it would reflect different behavior than it would have shown in Taurus.

Fiery planets would not display fast and burning effects in earth signs i.e. Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

Best results would be expected with the planet kind being placed in the sign with same quality. Mars and Sun are generally happy in Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, those being fiery signs.

I saw a horoscope where ascendant lord mercury was weak in the eighth while fifth house and Jupiter were both strong. The person would suffer from memory losses frequently.
